Mugwort (Artemisia douglasiana)

Plant: Perennial herb, stout, sometimes branching, 2 to 5 feet tall
Flowers: Flower heads on racemes that attach between the leaf stem and the main stems
Leaf: Elliptical shape with smooth edges. Green and usually hairless above, densely gray-woolly beneath. Will show lighter lower surface of leaf towards the sun in hot weather as a protection from the heat.
