The purpose of conducting workshops is to familiarize the Commission with current topics relevant to coastal resource protection, public access or other important coastal management issues and to foster communication between the Commission, interested parties and the public about these topics. A workshop agenda is typically focused on the topics that the Commission encounters most often in the review of permits, appeals and local coastal program (LCP) amendments.
