Join the California King Tides Project for a coffee break on November 24 at the base of San Franciso's Pier 14 on the Embarcadero, next to the Ferry Building. This is the first King Tide of the season, and will peak a little before 10am. The King Tides Project is a citizen effort to photograph the highest tides of the year in order to visualize what our normal tides will look like in the future as sea level rises.

Bring your coffee, a warm coat (and your wellies?), and take a break from the office or from shopping in the City to see if the water tops the sidewalk for this King Tide. While you're there, snap a shot of you standing next to a sign showing projected high tides in 2100. (Spoiler: They may be really high.) See you there!
