The Coastal Commission held two rounds of public comment on the proposed Sea Level Policy Guidance to maximize public and agency participation in discussion and document review. Following the initial comment period in 2014, Commission staff made significant revisions to the first draft of the document and then provided the revised draft for further discussion and review in May 2015. Following a second review period, Commission staff responded with additional changes to the proposed Sea Level Rise Policy Guidance. Below are summaries of the comments received for each draft and the Commission staff’s responses.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, the Sea Level Rise Policy Guidance document was brought before the Commission and was unanimously adopted.
