Education Programs:
AWARE Kids program
A program for K-4 with extension activities for grades 5-8 that helps teach kids about the underwater world and provides hand-on opportunities to participate in solutions. Includes AWARE Kids Activity Book, Teacher’s Guide, DVD and website and covers topics including coral reefs, sharks, kelp forests, whales, dolphins and sea turtles. The activities for students are correlated to the National Science Education Standards.
Our Water Our World
A book that contains 164 pages of information on issues facing today's underwater ecosystems. Includes topics such as coral reefs, temperate and polar regions, ocean, lake and river environments, fisheries management, as well as diving aware. Also used for diver specialty courses.

-10 Ways a Diver Can Protect the Underwater Environment Brochure
-Get Involved CD-Rom [Included Getting Involved Guide]
Informational materials on how to get involved and organize an underwater cleanup. Project AWARE Foundation coordinates the underwater portion of International Coastal Cleanup day in partnership with The Ocean Conservancy.
-Specialty Diver Training Courses (offered in partnership through PADI Instructors):
-Coral Reef Conservation Specialty (includes CD-Rom with video, book & Instructor Guide)
Targeted at divers, snorkelers and ocean enthusiasts, this course includes an overview of coral reef ecology, a look at problems facing reefs and practical guidelines on responsible interaction in these fragile environments.
-Fish Identification Specialty (Instructor Guide)
This course introduces divers to the most common fish families in temperate and tropical waters throughout the world. It emphasizes the importance of Project AWARE and involves people in identifying and recording local fish populations.
-Underwater Naturalist Specialty (Instructor Guide)
This course is an introduction to many types of aquatic life and an overview of responsible human interactions. Students learn dive techniques to help preserve underwater environments.
-Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty (Includes DVD & Instructor Guide)
Divers learn to fine tune their buoyancy skills, helping to prevent disturbance of underwater environments.
-Project AWARE Specialty (Book and Instructor Guide)
Divers and nondivers learn about the plight of aquatic ecosystems and how they can help protect them. Current environmental issues and the status of endangered underwater habitats are also explored.
