Education Programs:
We work with schools within the watershed to provide in class and on-site learning opportunities that facilitate active participation in watershed ecology and restoration.

We have a GIS program that provides information to watershed residents and others in the form of maps and digital files. We also take this program to the schools.

We offer two publications: Elements of Recovery, a survey of sources or erosion in the Mattole watershed, and Dynamics of Recovery, a study of the Mattole River estuary and a plan for its recovery.

Volunteer Opportunities

  Description:
Opportunities exist within our programs (Resource Center, Forest Practices, Education, Reforestation, GIS, and Good Roads—Clear Creeks) to volunteer time and learning about watershed processes, ecology, and human interaction within natural systems. And we can always use help in our resource center.
