Education Programs:

  • Project WILD/Aquatic WILD: an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program that emphasizes wildlife. Two activity guides contain supplementary curriculum for grades K-12.
  • Salmonids in the Classroom Program- hands-on, interdisciplinary project for grades K-12. Classroom teachers and students raise trout.
  • Hunter Education: provides training for all first time California resident hunters.
  • Fishing in the City: works to improve fishing in urban areas, teaches people to fish and helps people understand how their actions affect the quality of water in local streams, lakes and bays.
  • The Nature Bowl is a fun, cooperative learning team competition for 3rd through 6th grade students for Sacramento, Yolo, Butte, Colsa, Sutter, Placer, El Dorado and Yuba counties.

Volunteer Mangager, Docent Naturalist, Special Event Assisitant, Fishing Clinic Instructor, Project WILD Workshop Instructor, Hatchery Aide, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Hunter Education Instructor, Biological Aide, Special Project Assistant.
