Education Programs:
A complete course catalog is avaliable on our web site for further information. Adult courses ranging from seminars addressing the AIDS crisis to biological illustration courses. Family courses emphasize interactive engaging hikes and explorations that cater to all ages. A Junior Academy program consists of Saturday seminars on such topics as sea otters and shark husbandry, paleontology, and anthropology. A summer camp is also offered. There is an extensive lecture series and a vast library and biodiversity center avaliable to answer public questions about the natural world.

Internship Opportunities

  Description:
Assisting one of eight research departments: ichthyology, invertebrate zoology and biology, herpetology, anthropology, astronomy, ornithology, and mammology. Internships are also avaliable in marketing, publications, and other administrative departments.
High School student program also avaliable, run by Kelly Nelson. Contact knelson@calacademy.org for more information.
