Education Programs:
Aquarium of the Bay offers free standards-based classes for K-12. On-site classes vary by grade level, and include such focuses as fish, sharks, marine mammals, wetlands, tidal habitats, and shapes and colors of the bay. New programming includes a hybrid ferry trip targeting 6th graders and a pre-k program. In addition, self-guided tour materials are available online to support groups visiting the Aquarium on their own.

Volunteer Opportunities

  Program:
Education Volunteer: Interpreting exhibits, assisting in the classroom, sharing our enthusiasm for San Francisco Bay and its watershed!
Husbandry Volunteer: Caring for our terrestrial and aquatic animals, including but not limited to food preparation, cleaning of enclosures, and assisting with enrichment.
Dive Volunteer: Underwater maintenance of our tunnel exhibits, including cleaning and feedings.
