Publication of this list is provided for the purpose of facilitating public participation in the Commission's activities and is not required by law. The list's inclusion in this Meeting Notice also does not constitute, nor substitute for any of the notice requirements contained in the Coastal Act and Commission regulations.   • Poseidon Huntington Beach desalination project
  • Caltrans High Speed Rail, LOSSAN Mass Transit. High Speed Train throughout California (south of Sacramento to the San Francisco Bay Area, the Central Valley, and southern California) with one component, which may be separate or combined with it, is LOSSAN, Passenger Rail Improvements, Los Angeles to San Diego (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor
  • Caltrans Highway 101 Corridor Improvements, Caltrans Consistency Certification CC-054-11 for improvements to Highway 101 between Eureka and Arcata, Humboldt County

North Coast District

  • Bower Limited Partnership Appeal. Appeals from decision of County of Mendocino granting permit with conditions to Bower Limited Partnership for construction of 285-ft. long retaining wall to connect to proposed 70-ft. long retaining wall on adjacent lot and associated drainage improvements.

Central Coast District

  • Morro Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant. Application of the City of Morro Bay and the Cayucos Community Services District to demolish the existing Morro Bay wastewater treatment plant and to construct a new wastewater treatment plant and related development in Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo County

South Central Coast District

  • City of Oxnard Local Coastal Program Amendment proposing to allow a school use within the Mandalay Bay Specific Plan Area, City of Oxnard, Ventura County.

  • Pepperdine University Long Range Development Plan Amendment (Campus Life Project) proposing to upgrade existing student housing, athletic, parking, and central reception facilities within the campus interior by reallocating approved square footage and facilities; to relocate and reconfigure an existing drainage detention basin and stockpile site; and to convert and expand an existing equestrian riding ring to a recreation sports field at the outer edge of the developed campus, Santa Monica Mountains, Los Angeles County

  • City of Malibu Local Coastal Program Amendment proposing to amend the development standards, permitted and conditionally permitted uses, and related provisions related to the Institutional Zone District, City of Malibu, Los Angeles County
    City of Ventura Local Coastal Program Amendment (Holiday Inn Express) proposing an increase in maximum number of hotel rooms allowed in the central harbor area of Ventura Harbor, City of Ventura, Ventura County
  • County of Ventura Local Coastal Program Amendment proposing to change the zoning designation of one 7-acre parcel from Coastal Rural Exclusive, 5-acre minimum parcel size (CRE-5 ac) to Coastal Rural Exclusive, 2-acre minimum parcel size (CRE-2 ac), Santa Monica Mountains, Ventura County
  • Coastal Development Permit No. 4-10-104 (ELN, LLC) proposing a 10,454 sq. ft., three-level single-family residence with attached garage, swimming pool, septic system, water well, two 10,000 gal. underground water tanks, a 9,000 gal. underground cistern, fire wall, fire suppression sprinkler system, driveway, entry gate, retaining walls, improvements to approximately 1.18 miles of access road, and 17,800 cu. yds. of grading, at 27835 Borna Drive, Santa Monica Mountains, Los Angeles County

South Coast District

  • City of Huntington Beach LCP Amendment (The Ridge Project) proposing to change the land use designation of a 5 acre site on the Bolsa Chica Mesa from Open Space Parks to Residential (for up to 22 units).
  • City of Newport Beach, Marina Park Project. Proposed removal of existing mobile home park and construct new public park along the bayfront to include a multi-purpose building and dredging and construction of a new public marina consisting of a 23 slip dock and additional side tie area to accommodate short-term visits by recreational vessels, at Newport Beach, Orange County.
  • Shea Homes, Parkside Residential Development. Proposing to subdivide and create 111 residential lots, additional lots for roads, conservation, public access and public park areas; construct 111 single family homes and related infrastructure, and construct public active park, passive park, paseo park, public access trails, natural treatment system, habitat restoration, new storm drain system, new pump facility at the Slater storm water pump station, improve flood control channel levee, flood protection feature, replace sewer pump, and new sewer force-main, occurring within vacant 50 acre area in Huntington Beach, Orange County
  • OC Parks, Niguel Shores Revetment Project. Proposed for reconstruction of existing Niguel Shores revetment along 1,360 linear feet of shoreline, to protect Niguel Shores residences, including replacing existing small stone with larger stone, and adding stone to return structure to its original configuration. The crest of the structure would be raised to +17 feet MLLW, Dana Point, Orange County
  • City of Huntington Beach LCP Amendment 1-11, Sunset Beach. City request to bring the recently annexed Sunset Beach area into the City’s certified Local Coastal Program. The amendment includes a new Specific Plan for the community that includes development standards tailored to the existing development pattern in the community

San Diego Coast District

  • Appeal No. A-6-ENC-09-40 (Okun) Appeal from decision of City of Encinitas granting permit with conditions to Leonard Okun to demolish portions of existing home and construction 2,986 sq.ft., 2-story home with 447 sq. ft. attached garage and 1,677 sq. ft. basement on coastal blufftop lot, Encinitas, San Diego County.

  • Appeal No. A-6-ENC-09-41 (Okun) Appeal from decision of City of Encinitas granting permit with conditions to Leonard Okun to demolish portions of existing home and construction 3,136 sq. ft., 2-story home with 459 sq. ft. attached garage and 1,798 sq. ft. basement on coastal blufftop lot, Encinitas, San Diego County.
