San Luis Obispo Parks, Open Space & Trails Foundation

www.slopost.org

Organization Type:
Non-Profit

Mission:
Working for Hiker, Bicyclist, Equestrian, Runner and Walker, Trails, Community Parks, Enhancement of Open Space and More:

  • To acquire, develop and maintain multi-use trails, including some special trails for the handicapped, particularly where local government is slow to accept dedications. SLOPOST does not own land or have it dedicated to us in perpetuity, but acts as a holding company until they can take it into their inventory.
  • To involve landowners, related organizations and the general public in parks, open space and trails issues.
  • We try to educate users for their further enjoyment and to supply hints to maximize enjoyment and safety on multi-use trails.
  • To advise "the administrators" of parks, open space and recreational areas within San Luis Obispo County.
