•  Reduction of sedimentation and erosion
•  Flood protection
•  Habitat and species protection
•  Public recreation and education

There would be a variety of activities for an intern to do, such as create PowerPoint presentations, help design brochures, respond to letters and memos, write agenda item transmittals, research information and much more.
