Mission:
The Network arose out of the need to comprehensively monitor the health of the Sanctuary and its eleven watersheds, and to effectively communicate that information to agencies and the public. The goal of the Network is to work towards comprehensive monitoring by creating and supporting integrated, long-term, volunteer-based water quality and watershed monitoring programs within the Sanctuary and its adjacent watersheds.

Training/workshops are provided for citizen monitors to learn how to collect water quality samples and conduct stream surveys. Training is also available in the Spring for the Urban Watch program (collecting urban runoff samples) in participating cities.
