Mission:
The MATE Center is a national network of community colleges, high schools, universities, research institutions, marine industries and employers, and working professionals.

The MATE Center's mission is use information from industry to improve and develop educational programs that focus on marine technology and in this way help to prepare America's future workforce for ocean-related occupations.

The Center was established in 1997 with funding from the National Science Foundation and is headquartered at Monterey Peninsula College.

Service Fee:
Courses within the Marine Science and Technology Degree and Certificate Program at Monterey Peninsula College are currently $11 per credit (for in-state residents), plus college registration and student fees.
