Mission:
The mission of the Humboldt State University Marine Laboratory is to provide a center for marine and environmental science teaching and research. The primary emphasis of the laboratory is teaching, however, student and faculty research is active. Additionally, the laboratory provides public displays which focus on interpretation of marine science and the marine environment.

Education Programs:
The Marine Laboratory has several opportunities available for groups of all ages. The Marine Naturalist
will provide educational activities on our local marine life in a fun and engaging way. Custom design a
tour from the choices listed on our website www.humboldt.edu/~marinelb/naturalist that best fit your group. All tours are by appointment only.
