Mission:
Field Trip Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to exposing low income, elementary school aged children to the outdoors through educational field trips. It partners with local public elementary schools to connect their students with outdoor resources in the Bay Area. Field Trip Foundation works closely with educators and, whenever possible, integrates the field trips with the schools’ course plans.

Education Programs:
We offer environmental education field trips to low-income Bay Area elementary schools and coordinate the trips with their in-class State Science Framework curriculums. We set-up trips covering: natural habitat studies (i.e. at Ano Nuevo, coastal tide pools, Baylands/estuaries), California Indian Studies (focus on living in/near bay/ocean), geology, and ecology (Marine and Baylands).

We can arrange for Spanish-speaking naturalists if notified in advance.

In-Service Training:
Teachers, Docents/Volunteers, Students/Interns
Teachers receive curriculum packages and activity kits before each trip. We welcome volunteers and interns to learn the subject and participate in our programs.
