Education Programs:

  • On-Site and Field Environmental Education for all corpsmembers.
  • On-Site Charter School: full-time corps members pursuing high school diplomas. GEDs, college entrance, continuing education, and personal development.
  • AmeriCorps (3 Programs):
    1. Youth in Environmental Service (YES) – engages elementary, middle and high school students by leading field trips, organizing service-learning projects and providing recycling and environmental education.
    2. Restoration and Ecosystem Management (REM): mentorship program, where corpsmembers perform field research (e.g., habitat monitoring and vegetation management projects) and help agency sponsors coordinate large-scale volunteer programs.
    3. For Earth’s Sake Crew: collects/distributes re-useable materials obtained from local businesses and used for art projects in middle schools, mobile environmental education library.
  • Project Regeneration: summer program (ages 11-17), hands-on conservation work/field education and community service.

Volunteer Opportunities

  Program:
Teachers/Tutors/Projects (year-round)
  Description:
Assist teachers with one-on-one tutoring in ESL/GED/Math/Reading
Year-round environmental restoration, recycling and service projects throughout Marin County.
