Volunteer Opportunities

  Program:
Clean Streams Volunteer, Urban Watch Volunteer
  Description:
Monitor biological, physical and chemical parameters of watersheds that enter the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Also monitor dry season urban storm drain runoff.
  When Needed:
Year-round
  Qualifications:
Interest in science and the environment
  Commitment Required:
One day per month for one year
  Application/Training:
Volunteer registration form and one to two day protocol and field training

Internship Opportunities

  Program:
Watershed Intern
  Description:
Monitoring and data collection and reporting support. Some clerical duties associated with monitoring programs. Each internship is tailored to the individual.
  When Needed:
Year-round
  Qualifications:
Masters students are given preference, only a few undergraduates have been accepted
  Application:
Submit resume and call to follow up. Include letter of interest with information reguarding what is desired from the internship experience.
