Speaker/Lecture Series:
Clean Water Program staff can give presentations about water quality issues and activities people can do to improve our local watersheds. Staff has experience educating all sectors of the community from primary school students to homeowners associations, commercial/industrial businesses and construction site operators.
Education Programs:
The Oceanside Clean Water Program offers a variety of opportunities for the public to become involved in their local watershed and education programs to help improve public understanding of water quality issues.
Many cleanups are hosted throughout the year to ensure all watersheds are kept as litter-free as possible.
A kids campaign called “POW-Protectors of Oceanside Water” teaches young residents about the effects of storm water pollution.
The Clean Water Program encourages citizen monitoring groups to assist in water quality data collection and will provide information about these groups to interested parties.
Staff conduct many educational workshops throughout the year for a variety of audiences and topics.
Oceanside Clean Water Program supports local Girl and Boy Scout organizations in their quest for an environmental related patch.
A variety of education campaigns, ranging from anti-littering to Integrated Pest Management, are supported through the Oceanside Clean Water Program.
Additionally, students are encouraged to contact program staff for any assistance they need in the development of school club activities or other water quality related projects.

Students and others interested are welcomed and encouraged to assist the Clean Water Program in the production and development of our many activities. Additionally, staff can give educational workshops for a variety of audiences pertaining to current water quality regulations and ways to comply with the requirements.
