The mission of the South Coast Watershed Resource Center is to enhance awareness within the Santa Barbara community about: the importance of our watershed resources, how these resources are impacted by human activities, the role watershed restoration plays in improving water quality, and ways that our community can actively protect our creeks, wetlands, and ocean.

Education Programs:
Art From Scrap’s Green School’s Program offers free fieldtrips to the Watershed Resource Center and a three part Creek Kids Series for Santa Barbara County Public Schools. Fieldtrips and the Creek Kids Series focus on watersheds, pollution prevention and what young people can do to protect water quality in our creeks and ocean.
Various water based organizations use the Watershed Resource Center for meetings, public forums and events. A calendar of events is posted at our website.

DVDs available for a two week check out to teachers. These DVDs are kept at Art From Scrap’s Environmental Education Library located at 302 East Cota Street in Santa Barbara, CA 93101. First call (805) 884-0559 x16.
Service Fee:
Most of our programs are free to the public and to schools in Santa Barbara County. There is a fee for fieldtrips for school groups outside of Santa Barbara County. Call for prices.
